EVOKEN - A CARESS OF THE VOID DUE OCTOBER 31 Our heaviest and most abysmal release to date will be unleashed on Halloween, if all goes as planned. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of EVOKEN's many hours spent in the studio and without blushing we can proudly state that A Caress Of The Void is the bands best work to date and will leave no fan dissapointed. For some tasters visist EVOKEN's myspace by clicking here. The artwork is also something else (courtesy of Valentin Mellström), perfectly encaspulating this display of utter void! Make A Caress Of The Void the sound track to your lives (darkest) autumn... |
EVOKEN
FINNISHING UP THE RECORDING OF THE UPCOMING ALBUM On the 28th of March we recieved some rough mixes of the songs for the upcoming album, and when we let them ring out the anticipated effect was there: all signs of the cursed spring outside the I Hate HQ window was completely erased! The birds dropped dead from the sky, the suns light was blocked by massive, dark clouds while spine chilling winds straight out of the abyss made all spring crazed streakers put their clothes back on again... The album, tentatively called "A Caress Of the Void", proves to be the heaviest and most abysmal EVOKEN opus yet and no old fan will be disapointed: the game here is still Dark & Abysmally Desolate Doom/Death that comes off as the long, cold nails of death slowly being hammered into your coffin's lid... The release date of this gruesome masterpiece is set to June 4th, 2007. |

HAS SIGNED TO I HATE!!! |
A CARESS OF THE VOID is expanding greatly upon the massive EVOKEN soundscape and blackened, utterly desolate ambience of previous albums...but it also sees the band exploring some new areas of atmosphere & sound in their quest to create their own brand of soul-crushing doom. 12 abysmally layouted pages and 61.43 minutes playing time makes this a must for all travelers of the cold, dark void.
Released 2007-10-31. |
