JEX THOTH DEBUT ALBUM DELAYED DUE TO MISS PRINT+STRANGE RUMOUR ELIMINATED
We are sorry to inform that due to a misstake at the record plant the JEX THOTH debut album is delayed. The CD labels came miss printed and an official release is not possible before we have recieved the corrected re-pressing, which should arrive before the end of the month. We are quite depressed by this set back but there's nothing we can do but wait. Check this space for news in the matter.
Also it has come to our attention that a rumour is circulating about the promo version of the album containing a bonus track supposedly not to be featured on the regular version. The rumour is false. The bonus track is said to be "Separated at birth", actually track no. four (4) on the album. The rumour most likely stem from a misstake we made when putting up the track list
on our site. We simply managed to omit the track title, however it is featured on the promo sleeve and that is probablyt why some assumed it being a bonus track, however far fetched such a conclusion might seem - it's not that often you see a promo version of an album with a bonus track not included on the real version, right?
So once and for all; the track lists of the promo version and the real version of the album are identical!

TOTEM CHANGES NAME TO JEX THOTH
Hails to all Totem support!! We are most excited about this latest revelation, and now to share it with all of you::

As many of you have already noticed, we have gone through a bit of a line up change since the first EP was finished. Zeke Wood did eventually contact us to say that he has relocated to England to focus on Current 93 and Hush Arbors more extensively. However for us, this meant finding a new guitar player. The magus Silas
Paine came forth and offered his services to Jex on guitar. Then the serendipitous arrival of percussion master Johnny Dee came forth and took over the drum-throne leaving Zodiac free to focus exclusively on the organ and electronics.

And Jex saw all this and knew that it was good. We recorded a song called "Stone Evil", which was much different than anything we had ever
done before. Jex finished her vocals and sent off the master to I Hate and now it will soon be a split 7" with Pagan Altar. Then we recorded our epic full length album, and created some fantastic adventure in Alchemical Doom.

Soon Jex began to see this new music as an advance beyond the being that was "Totem."
After many hours of meditation and council, the five
of us have agreed to carry on as JEX THOTH. Dropping all Totemic facades in favor of our greater goal... to animate the divine through our muse and avatar as she exists here and now::::: JEX THOTH!

TOTEM TO SHARE SPLIT 7" VINYL WITH THE LEGENDARY PAGAN ALTAR!
Yes, rub your eyes and pich your arm, these news still won't disappear
!
The pride of London, PAGAN ALTAR, are joining forces with TOTEM on black vinyl, the U.K. gods of Doom featuring an old, previously unreleased track while their U.S. counter part treats you to an exclusive song called Stone Evil from their March album session.
This is the first time that PAGAN ALTAR are sharing space with another act on any musical format what so ever and both I Hate and TOTEM feel absolutely stoked about this project!
Expect a release prior to the release of the album, which is due at the end of July/early August.

TOTEM ON I HATE - SUPERLATIVE AND EXCLAMATION MARK ALERT!!!!!
We are ridiculously excited and pleased to announce that this fantastic band, hailing from near Nashville (capital of country music...) is joining our ever expanding ranks! TOTEM completely blew us away with their three track promo (-06)!!! In fact we are still shaken to the core and to be honest we have never heard anything within really heavy music sounding like this before! TOTEM, lo and behold, actually present something new to the world of Doomed Metal! To add to their greatness they use a formula that stays true to the roots of Heavy Rock music, they just do things their very own way and with their very own vibe, adding Hammond organ to the down tuned guitars and punishing drums while throwing in psychedelic and spaced out elements effortlessly in a completely non-contrived fashion. All is topped of, or rather, built arround the truly otherworldly vocals of Jex Thoth, a singer with absolute control of her voice and with a tinge of danger in her tone. There's a sense of American nativity and serenity in TOTEM's music, an earthiness and brooding dark beauty we dare say we never have encountered in this musical form before. Our agreement with TOTEM is for one MCD/MLP and one debut album full length to begin with. The MCD/MLP will most likely be released in connection to DOOM SHALL RISE V on the 27-28 April while the album will be out at the end of July/early August. Click on the picture above and have a listen to two of the tracks to come out on the MCD and we promise you'll be as stunned as we are!
